Terms and conditions
Acceptance of quotes and scheduling of work
All quotes supplied by Blue Rock Earthmoving are valid for a period of 21 days from the date of the quote. If a customer requests work to be completed outside this quote period, a re-quote will need to occur. Blue Rock Earthmoving may need to adjust any pricing.
This job commencement date is subject to change due to wet weather, availability of materials and other unforeseen circumstances. Blue Rock Earthmoving will endeavour to re-schedule the job at the earliest convenience. In relation to wet weather there may be additional wait time to allow the ground to adequately dry to ensure safety of workers, machinery does not get bogged/damaged and to reduce additional work required. If the customer requests work to continue despite advice from Blue Rock Earthmoving that the ground is not adequately dry, and any truck, vehicle or machinery is bogged, the customer will be liable for costs associated with the removal of the bogged vehicle and any associated damages caused.
Materials need to be ordered and therefore we need a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice to proceed with work. There may be some circumstances that Blue Rock Earthmoving could complete the work earlier and if this is the case this will be negotiated with the customer on confirmation of booking.
Payment Clause:
On acceptance of our quote, a deposit of 50% of the quoted total price will need to be paid prior to work commencement.
Blue Rock Earthmoving will provide an Invoice once the quote has been accepted. Payment details and terms are provided on our invoices.
Once the deposit is received by Blue Rock Earthmoving, we will provide the customer with a date of expected work commencement.
The balance of all accounts will need to be paid within 7 days of work completion. Any overdue accounts will incur a late payment fee of 5% of the total amount outstanding.
If any account remains overdue after fourteen days (14) days, then a further 5% late payment fee will be applied. The late payment fees will increase by 5% for every 7-day period that the account remains overdue.
Cancellation Policy:
Any job cancelled within two weeks will incur a cancellation fee of 15% of the invoice total. A refund of the remaining deposit (50% deposit less 15% of total cancellation fee) will be made provided the customer completes the cancellation form and returns it to Blue Rock Earthmoving.
Council Development approvals and conditions
Any conditions on DA approval that will impact, or limit excavation work needs to be provided to Blue Rock Earthmoving prior to work commencement.
Rock Clause
All work is subject to rock clause: Rock, poor soil conditions, water in excavations and other unforeseen site conditions may incur additional charges.
Excavation clause:
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide any information relating to the site they have requested to be excavated including location of any electrical, telecommunication and other cables, water pipes or other infrastructure.
If the customer is unsure of the location of cables and pipes it is their responsibility to phone ‘dial before you dig’ to gather this information. This information is to be provided to Blue Rock Earthmoving a minimum of 24 hours prior to scheduled work commencement.
